Smith County - County Government Month
|
|
National County Government Month (NCGM) is an annual celebration of county government.
First held in 1990, the goal of the county government celebration is to raise public
awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of the nation's
counties. The theme for 2012 is "Healthy Counties, Healthy Families."
In an effort to support these activities at the local level, Smith County sponsors
various functions including those described below.
