On the Square Downtown Tyler

The T.B. Butler Fountain Square is open to the public and can be reserved on a first come, first serve basis at no cost. Running water and electrical outlets are located throughout the Square.

SQUARE RESERVATION POLICY

All square reservation requests MUST be submitted in writing to Commissioners Court staff for approval. No automatically reoccurring events will be scheduled. All reservations must be approved separately. The Square is available to the public on a first come, first serve basis.

Smith County can only provide reservations for the space within the boundaries of the Square. For information on sidewalks, street closures or barricades please contact the City of Tyler Police Department at 903-531-1090. For all events involving food service, please contact the North East Texas Public Health District at 903-535-0030 for regulations and requirements.

2016 Reservations

December 1, 2016: 76th Annual Tyler Christmas Parade, Rotary Club of Tyler, 6 p.m.

December 1, 2016: 31st Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, City of Tyler, 7 p.m.

December 11, 2016: Coffee and Cars Tyler, 9-11 a.m.

2017 Reservations

January 16, 2017: MLK Celebration, Tyler Together Race Relations Forum, 8-10 a.m.

March 31-April 6, 2017: Playhouses on the Plaza, Habitat for Humanity of Smith County

April 15, 2017: Praise Fest 2017, Empowerment Ministries

April 16, 2017: Sunrise on the Square, Calvary Chapel Tyler, 6-10 a.m.

April 25, 2016: East Texas Giving Day, East Texas Communities Foundation, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

May 6, 2017: Red Dirt BBQ and Music Festival, Townsquare Media Live Events, 2 p.m. to midnight

June 17, 2017: HOT Friends and Family Day, Townsquare Media, 1 p.m. to midnight

June 24, 2017: Downtown Tyler Wine Swirl, City of Tyler Main Street Department, 6-10 p.m.
