The Smith County District Attorney's Office is dedicated to the vigorous prosecution of those who commit crimes within our county. Law Enforcement agencies within Smith County begin the process by presenting criminal offenses to our office. We seek to provide legal representation as well as maintaining the integrity of the criminal justice system. We believe that criminals must be held accountable and any victim / witness should be treated with dignity and compassion. To that end, our office has a special division to assist victims through the criminal justice process as well as provide information about social service agencies that can best handle their particular needs. We have an excellent staff of Assistant District Attorneys, Investigators, Legal Assistants, Victim Assistance Coordinators, and other support staff providing absolute commitment to secure justice in each and every case.
