If our office has received returned mail from you, your name will appear on a list of Suspended Voters. Please check the list and choose from the following options to correct your information:
- Online Address Change: Click here to update your information online. You will need your VUID number and information off of your driver's license.
- In Person: Our office is located at 200 E Ferguson, Tyler, TX 75702.
- By Mail Using Old Certificate: On the backside of your old certificate, sign your name and list your new address in the spaces provided. Mail old certificate to: PO Box 777, Tyler, TX 75710.
- By Mail Without Old Certificate: Click here to print a new application and mail to: PO Box 777, Tyler, TX 75710. OR Click here to request an application be mailed to you; in which case you would then return the application to PO Box 777, Tyler, TX 75710.
Thank you for taking the time to update your voter registration information! In December of each odd numbered year our office mails out new voter registration certificates to our registered voters. Approximately 20% of these will be returned to us due to bad mailing addresses. Based on current voter registration numbers, that comes to about 23,718 voters that may not get their cards! If these addresses are not corrected they are put on a list of Suspended Voters.
Why is being a Suspended Voter so bad?
- You will not receive a new voter registration certificate.
- On Election Day you may go to the wrong polling location.
- After two (2) federal elections you will be deleted from the Voter Registration rolls.
Very Important Note - If your name does not appear on the Suspended List and you have moved or changed your mailing address within the last two (2) years, your information needs to be updated so that you do not end up on the Suspended List after this year's mass mail out. The options listed above are available to all voters. Please choose the most convenient and update your information TODAY.
