Under the Campaign Finance Law, the Smith County Elections Administration is the
county campaign finance filing authority. Per the Texas Ethics Commission, the following
candidates and officeholders file with us: candidates for and holders of elective
county offices; candidates for and holders of elective precinct offices within the
county; candidates for and holders of the office of district attorney; and specific-purpose
political committees.
It is our duty to provide filers with the forms necessary to submit their reports.
Furthermore, our office is required to provide the public access to these reports.
To provide better customer service through the use of current technology we are
able to supply retrieval of these reports online.
Important Note: Reports are provided as a convenience to the public.
The absence of a report does not mean a candidate or officeholder has failed to
file a report in a timely manner. This may only mean our office has not had the
opportunity to include it on the webpage. Please contact our office directly for
inquiries concerning missing reports or any further questions you may have.
