Tiffany Williamson was recognized during Commissioners Court September 30, 2025, for five years of service at the Smith County Veterans Services Office.
She served for four years in the United States Army as a 14T Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator and Maintainer (air defense artillery), and served at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and Fort Bliss in El Paso.
After being medically retired from the Army in 2016, Ms. Williamson graduated from Ranger Junior College and The University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology and forensic science.
In 2020, she became the assistant veterans services officer and liaison for the Veterans Treatment Court for Smith County.
“I am beyond grateful to work with such an amazing group of people in Smith County,” she said. “I have the pleasure of assisting veterans and their families with their federal and state benefits. I love being able to give professional guidance to veterans on how to navigate and understand complicated VA procedures and claim forms and ensure that they are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to.”
As the misdemeanor court liaison for the Veterans Treatment Court, she oversees treatment for veterans going through the criminal justice system. She has been a guest speaker at other veteran treatment courts around the state, the Texas State Bar in Austin, and the Smith County Bar Association.
