Road and Bridge Hiring Temporary Workers
The Smith County Road and Bridge Department is now hiring eight seasonal workers to help mow county roads.
The employees are needed from May through September, will be paid $15 per hour and will work about 40 hours per week, County Engineer Frank Davis said.
The laborers will primarily be mowing the sides of county roads, but will also perform other needed tasks, such as clearing trees.

Other full-time available positions available at Smith County include Community Supervision Officer for Adult Probation, Custodian for Facility Services, Detention Officer for the Sheriff’s Office, Mechanic and Operators for the Road and Bridge Department. Part-time positions include Animal Shelter Kennel Assistant, Collections Clerk, and Juvenile Supervision Officer.
